From the background of global war epidemic, the importance of Chinese medicine specimen and its digitization was expounded. The attempt and exploration of Shenzhen Institute for drug control in the construction of digital specimen of traditional Chinese medicine, intelligent Chinese medicine inspection system and Digital Science Museum of traditional Chinese medicine in recent years were discussed.
